CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+, and Security+
CompTIA, the Computing Technology Industry Association, offers the A+ Certification exams, a testing program that certifies the competency of entry-level (six months experience) service technicians in the computer industry. The A+ Certification exams assess basic computer service and repair technology skills. Value Learning University, an authorized CompTIA curriculum provider, also offers courses to help you prepare for Network+ and Server+ certification exams. The Network+ certification verifies that the candidate knows about the OSI model, network components, and basic networking hardware peripherals and protocols. The Server+ certification credential validates advanced-level technical competency of server issues and technology, including installation, configuration, upgrading, maintenance, troubleshooting and disaster recovery. The Security+ series helps prepare the learner for the Security+ exam by teaching general security concepts, communication security, infrastructure security, some basics of cryptography, and operational and organizational security. European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)

The ECDL Foundation awards ECDL or ICDL certification to those who have passed one theoretical test on basic Information Technology concepts and six practice-based tests using a personal computer and common computer applications.
